Julz`s Young Avengers (2013) Issue 10 Review

After suffering the heart yanking ending of last month`s issue, we see more into our villain`s agendas. Props to Kerion Gillen for opening up this issue by having the interdimensional parasite, aka Mother, eat the text box. Classy just classy Gillen.
This month`s issue simply dumps more on the readers by revealing Kid Loki and Hel`s agendas.
Just when Kid Loki appears redeemable it turns out he is not worth any sort of forgiveness after all after seeing what his true intentions are.
Blaming him for the current state of Wiccan and Loki`s relationship is completely justifiable now.  What to expect from the god of trickery!
On another note I could talk about Leah`s part in this but since I know very little about her all I can say is that she is indeed doing whatever she can in order to get back at Loki. Though it would be nice if she would elaborate what her agenda is for those who have not read her back story.
The biggest problem with this issue is that it introduces too many subplots and ideas that come out of nowhere and raise so many questions. Now introducing those things are good for the sake of the story but not too much.
Like Billy being this all powerful Demiurge, which is why Loki wishes to take his powers. And Kid Loki being the reason for why the Mother is here. And apparently had a deal with her.
Leah`s agenda towards Loki so she uses Hulking to get to him. Although one asks why ask she enlists the help of Mother since she just captured Hulking. So how is she going to get to Loki now?
Nullifer`s beef with Miss America. The three women griping over Marvel Boy.
Seriously there is a bit too much to take in and almost makes it a bit of a mess. The only thing resulting for this is that I wish for Kid Loki to die now!

As for the only positive I will give this issue is that upon seeing Teddy trying to build up the courage to talk to Billy makes you hope that the message he`s about to send him isn`t a world shattering “I think we need a  break”.  But we do learn that while Teddy may question his relationship with Billy, he knows that Billy has done nothing wrong, nor has anyone on the team. ( At least that`s what he thinks for the moment).
It brings some hope that Wiccan and Hulkling will be alright, but let`s just hope Kerion Gillen dosen`t stab us through the heart anymore than he already has. Especially by the ending looked.
Let`s hope Hulking will be able to get out of this and hope Wiccan and Hulking`s love will stay true and that Kid Loki burns!

Pretty much this issue was weird and while it did bring up some interesting ideas that only raises more questions. It`s not all that great and I give it a pass.

It really makes me miss the old days when Allen Heinberg was the writter. Gillen just makes me really sad.
